Xbox Series X (1TB): eBay vs Amazon price

About the Xbox Series X (1TB)

The Xbox Series X launched in November 2020 as Microsoft's most powerful console. It has a custom AMD processor rated at 12 teraflops, a 1TB SSD and an Ultra HD Blu-ray drive, with support for 4K gaming at up to 120 frames per second in compatible games. It also plays most Xbox One titles and a selection of older Xbox games.

The used market for the Series X is large because the console has been around for years. Microsoft raised US console prices more than once in 2025, so new units now cost more than they did at launch. That has kept used prices from falling as fast as they otherwise would. Expect plenty of listings bundled with extra controllers, external storage or game codes.

Where the savings are

Since US list prices went up, a used Series X in good shape often saves more than it did a few years ago. Look for the standard disc model; the white all-digital edition and the 2TB Galaxy Black edition are separate listings with different values. Amazon also sells renewed units, so check the condition label. Loud fans and a dead disc drive are the main faults to rule out.
