About the Nintendo Switch OLED Model
The Switch OLED Model arrived in October 2021 as the best version of the original Switch. It has a 7-inch OLED screen, 64GB of internal storage, a wide adjustable kickstand and a dock with a built-in wired LAN port. It plays the full Switch library, and since most of those games also run on the Switch 2, a collection built on it carries forward.
The Switch 2 launched in 2025 and sent a wave of OLED units onto eBay. For anyone who mainly wants the original library, that's good timing: used OLEDs are plentiful, and families often pick one up as a cheaper second console. New units are still sold, so compare both before you decide.

Used OLED units are where the savings are, especially listings bundled with games or a carrying case. Screen condition is the first thing to check, because OLED panels can show burn-in after long use with static images. Joy-Con drift is common on older controllers, so price that in. A listing without the dock costs less, but you lose TV play, and the OLED dock is not cheap on its own.
