iPad mini (A17 Pro, 128GB, Wi-Fi): eBay vs Amazon price

About the iPad mini (A17 Pro, 128GB, Wi-Fi)

The iPad mini (A17 Pro) is the seventh-generation mini, released in October 2024. It keeps the 8.3-inch design of the 2021 model but gains the A17 Pro chip, 128GB of base storage, Apple Intelligence support and compatibility with Apple Pencil Pro. Its size makes it a favorite with pilots, readers and anyone who wants a tablet that fits in a jacket pocket.

Nothing else Apple sells is this small, so used demand stays steady and prices do not collapse. Amazon has discounted it regularly, though, and those sales set a ceiling on what used ones are worth. Watch out for listings of the 2021 mini with the A15 chip. It looks the same and sells for less.

Where the savings are

The 2021 and 2024 minis look identical, so verify the chip; the A17 Pro model is the one with Apple Intelligence. New units on Amazon go on sale often, and that sale price is your benchmark. Used savings on eBay are largest on units with visible wear or no box. Pilots should note that only cellular models include GPS. Higher storage tiers add less than you might expect.
