About the iPad (A16, 128GB, Wi-Fi)

Apple calls this model simply iPad, but most sellers label it the 11th generation or iPad (A16). It launched in March 2025 with an 11-inch Liquid Retina display, the A16 chip, Touch ID in the top button and a USB-C port. Base storage doubled to 128GB, which fixed the biggest complaint about the 10th-generation model it replaced.

This is the iPad people buy for school, streaming and kids, and it sells in big numbers, so the used supply is deep. Amazon discounts it often, sometimes enough to undercut used units that show any wear. It does not support Apple Intelligence. Resale value depends mostly on storage, Wi-Fi versus cellular, and screen condition.

Where the savings are

Amazon runs frequent sales on this model, so a new Wi-Fi 128GB unit is often priced close to a used one. Compare before you buy. On eBay, Apple-certified or seller-refurbished units are the sweet spot. Make sure the listing is the A16 model and not the 10th generation, which looks almost the same but started at 64GB and is worth less.
