About the iPad Air 11-inch (M3, 128GB, Wi-Fi)
The 11-inch iPad Air with M3 arrived in March 2025. It looks the same as the M2 model from a year earlier but moves to the M3 chip, which supports Apple Intelligence and leaves plenty of headroom for drawing, photo editing and multitasking. It works with Apple Pencil Pro and a Magic Keyboard made for the Air, and it keeps Touch ID in the top button.
Buyers who want more power than the base iPad without paying Pro prices tend to land here. Since the M2 and M3 versions are almost identical on the outside, eBay listings sometimes mix them up, and an M2 should cost less. Air models hold value reasonably well, and the 128GB Wi-Fi unit is the cheapest way in.
Where the savings are
Check the chip before anything else, because M2 and M3 iPad Airs share a design and get mislabeled. Amazon often discounts the new model by a meaningful amount, which narrows the gap with used. On eBay, the biggest savings come on lightly used units sold with the box and accessories. Cellular models and higher storage tiers carry a premium both new and used.

Questions
How can I tell an M3 iPad Air from an M2?

Does the iPad Air M3 have a 120Hz screen?
No. The iPad Air uses a 60Hz Liquid Retina display. ProMotion is limited to the iPad Pro.
