About the iPhone 15 (128GB)
Apple released the iPhone 15 in September 2023. It was the first standard iPhone with a USB-C port and the Dynamic Island, and it moved the main camera up to 48 megapixels. Inside is the A16 Bionic, the chip from the previous year's Pro models. It does not support Apple Intelligence, which is the main thing it gives up next to the iPhone 16.
Apple stopped selling the iPhone 15 in 2025, so most of the market now runs through resellers. That makes it one of the most common phones on eBay, in every condition from sealed to heavily worn. Prices here tend to drift lower month by month, and the spread between a grade A refurbished unit and a scuffed used one can be wide.
Where the savings are
Because Apple no longer sells it, a new iPhone 15 on Amazon is usually carrier or third-party stock, and it rarely beats a good refurbished unit on eBay. Battery health is the big variable on a phone this age, so a unit at 85 percent should cost noticeably less than one at 95. Unlocked models resell for more. If you want Apple Intelligence, look at a used iPhone 16 instead.

Questions
Does the iPhone 15 support Apple Intelligence?
No. Apple Intelligence needs an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or a newer model, so the standard iPhone 15 does not get those features.
Does the iPhone 15 use Lightning or USB-C?
USB-C. The iPhone 15 lineup was the first to drop Lightning, so it charges with the same cables as recent iPads and Macs.
