About the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 (40mm, Bluetooth)
The Galaxy Watch7 launched in July 2024 in 40mm and 44mm sizes. It runs Wear OS with Samsung's One UI Watch on the 3nm Exynos W1000 chip, uses dual-frequency GPS for more accurate tracking, and has Samsung's BioActive sensor for heart rate, ECG and body composition readings. The 40mm Bluetooth model is the smallest and least expensive version.
Samsung watches lose value faster than Apple Watches, and the arrival of the Galaxy Watch8 in 2025 pushed Watch7 prices down further. That makes the Watch7 a good used buy for Android owners. It does not work with iPhones. Listings on eBay mix sizes and LTE versions, so read the title closely before comparing prices.
Where the savings are
Watch7 prices fell sharply once the Watch8 arrived, so a new unit on Amazon may cost only a little more than a used one. If you buy on eBay, check the model number: SM-L300 is the 40mm Bluetooth version. Screen scratches and battery wear lower value. Some health features, such as ECG, need a Samsung Galaxy phone, which matters if you use another Android brand.

Questions
Does the Galaxy Watch7 work with an iPhone?
No. It needs an Android phone, and some features such as ECG and blood pressure tracking require a Samsung Galaxy phone.
What is the difference between the Bluetooth and LTE versions?
The LTE model can make calls and use data on its own with a carrier plan. The Bluetooth model relies on a paired phone for those.
